Best Moving Companies Montreal Reddit
If you're searching Reddit for the best moving companies in Montreal, here's Up & Out's guide to what to check before you book, and why we think you should call us first.
Our pick: Up & Out (yes, we're biased)
We wrote this page, so take it as our pitch, not a neutral review. Here's the case: a 4.9-star average across 113 Google reviews, about 300 completed moves in the last 12 months, bilingual English–French crews, and published rates starting at $140/hr for 2 movers plus a travel fee, with a 3-hour minimum. Read our Google reviews before you decide.
What to check before you book any Montreal mover
(1) Published hourly rates, travel fee and minimum hours, in writing. (2) REQ registration and proof of insurance, not just a verbal promise. (3) Recent Google reviews, not only the testimonials on their website. (4) Their own trucks and crew, not a broker who subcontracts your move. (5) A plan for stairs, elevators, parking and heavy items before moving day. (6) How they handle a move that takes longer than the estimate.
Why people check Reddit before hiring movers
Reddit is where people look for unfiltered experiences. Use it the same way you'd use Google reviews: look for patterns across many posts, not one story. Then get written estimates from two or three movers and compare them line by line.
